Dead Lucky

Dead Lucky by Lincoln Hall
Life After Death on Everest

Came across this story while listening to the audio version of Dark Summit. The author joins an expedition to Everest after a long absence from climbing. Makes the summit but has trouble on the way down. Left for dead at 28,000 feet, he spends the night in the Death Zone - in and out of sleep, from coherent to hallucinating. He is discovered the next morning by a new group of climbers and is nursed/coaxed/forced down the mountain. Among the stories of tragedy, this is a good story of survival.
