The Orthodox Heretic
The Orthodox Heretic and Other Impossible Tales by Peter Rollins
I anxiously awaited the arrival of this book after listening to an interview with Rollins on a Mars Hill podcast, he's very interesting. Having said that, the book was a bit of a letdown.
It is a collection of parables, there are some that are really good but many were a large stretch for me. Here are my favorites, or ones that I will use in teaching:
- No Conviction
- The Father's Approval
- The Book of Love
- The Heretic
Overall I think he is trying to poke holes in Western Christian thought and practice, a noble and needed effort.
